4 individuals arrested for taking cash from NEET aspirants for medical faculty seat
Police arrested 4 members of an interstate gang right here for allegedly taking cash from NEET aspirants for admission to medical faculty, an officer mentioned.
The 4 individuals together with two from Odisha have been arrested by Bhubaneswar Particular Crime Unit on Saturday, Commissioner of Police, S D Singh mentioned.

The Police commissioner mentioned the gang used to take cash from medical aspirants by promising them admission to medical faculties. The gang had plans to interact dummy candidates to jot down the examination, Singh mentioned.
The Nationwide Eligibility-cum-Entrance Check (NEET) UG-2025 will probably be held on Sunday from 2 pm to five pm.
The 4 arrested individuals have been recognized as Priyadarshi Kumar from Jharkhand, Arvind Kumar from Bihar, and Sunil Samantray and Rudra Narayan Behera from Odisha, police mentioned.
“The modus operandi concerned native scouts who procured NEET aspirant particulars, together with Aadhaar playing cards, facilitating their registration. As soon as the admit playing cards are obtained, they’re transferred to operatives in Bihar. It’s suspected that proxy candidates take the NEET examination by manipulating the admit card particulars,” an announcement issued by police mentioned.
The gang was charging ₹20 to ₹30 lakh per candidate, it mentioned.
