Blast Outdoors BJP Chief Manoranjan Kalia’s Residence In Punjab, Investigation On

A blast was reported exterior the residence of BJP chief Manoranjan Kalia in Jalandhar round 1 am on Tuesday, reported information company ANI. The police have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage to find out the character of the explosion. 

Jalandhar Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur confirmed the incident and mentioned a forensic crew is working to ascertain whether or not it was a grenade assault or attributable to one thing else.

Manoranjan Kalia, a senior BJP chief, mentioned he initially mistook the explosion for thunder. 

“There was a blast round 1 am,” Kalia advised ANI. “I used to be sleeping and thought it was thunder. Later, I used to be knowledgeable it was a blast. I then despatched my gunman to the police station. Forensic consultants are right here, and CCTV footage is being checked.” 

Deputy Commissioner of Police Manpreet Singh additionally confirmed the incident. “The forensic crew will examine the spot and provides their report,” he mentioned.

No accidents have been reported up to now.
