The Bharatiya Janata Celebration (BJP) on Thursday slammed senior Congress chief Prithviraj Chavan over his feedback on the authorized rights of Tahawwur Rana, a key accused within the 26/11 Mumbai terror assaults, who has been extradited to India from the US.
Reacting sharply to Chavan’s remarks, the BJP accused the Congress of getting a “tender nook for terrorism” and claimed that this mindset is the “actual purpose why terrorists obtained away until now”.
Chavan, who can be the previous chief minister of Maharashtra, raised issues over the extradition course of, suggesting that, like Ajmal Kasab, Rana needs to be granted a good trial.
Kasab, a Pakistani gunman who was one of many solely surviving attackers from the 26/11 assault, was executed in 2012 after being convicted.

In response, the BJP rebuked Chavan’s remarks and accused the Congress of prioritising the rights of terrorists over these of the victims of the Mumbai assaults.

Tahawwur Rana’s Flight Lands In Delhi
Rana, a Canadian citizen of Pakistani origin, was extradited to India from the USA to face trial for his position within the 2008 terror assaults, which claimed 166 lives. Rana arrived in New Delhi on Thursday night, a day after a multi-agency Indian group flew to the USA to carry him again.
