Kalkaji: Properties of 350 households demolished by DDA, Congress assaults BJP

In a transfer that has triggered widespread outrage, the Delhi Growth Authority (DDA) bulldozed the properties of almost 350 households within the Bhoomiheen JJ clusters of Govindpuri (Kalkaji), though residents declare they held legitimate paperwork proving their eligibility.
The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) has launched a scathing assault on the BJP, accusing it of “banishing the poor as a substitute of banishing poverty”.
DPCC chief Devender Yadav, who visited the location of demolition, held each Prime Minister Narendra Modi and newly-appointed Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta answerable for what he known as a “merciless and calculated displacement”.
Yadav reminded reporters that CM Gupta had earlier promised that no jhuggi-jhopdi (JJ) cluster could be touched with out first making certain correct rehabilitation. “Folks had constructed their properties by saving each penny, through which they’d been residing for years, however the ruthless BJP authorities demolished them in a single stroke.”
