Intelligence Officer Arrested In Chattisgarh For Hoax Bomb Menace On Kolkata-Certain Flight

In reference to the bomb menace incident on a flight certain for Kolkata from Nagpur on November 14, Raipur police have arrested a person who was later recognized as an Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer, officers stated on Tuesday.

In line with police, the flight was compelled to make an emergency touchdown at Raipur airport after a passenger recognized as Animesh Mandal raised a bomb alert on the flight.

Police acquired details about the bomb menace from Air Site visitors Management (ATC) and launched an investigation. Throughout interrogation, it was discovered that the bomb menace was a hoax.
