Folks making an attempt to defame kanwar yatris, motion will likely be taken in opposition to them: Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday, 20 July, mentioned some individuals are making an attempt to defame the kanwar yatra on social media and urged each ‘kanwar sangh’ to reveal such troublemakers.

Addressing an occasion right here, he mentioned, “Troublemakers have resorted to defaming this holy pilgrimage… We’ve got CCTV footage of all of them. We’re going to paste their posters after this (kanwar yatra) is over.”

He added, “We’ve got to remember the fact that the place there’s enthusiasm and pleasure, the place there’s religion and devotion, some parts always attempt to disturb that and defame this devotion and religion.”

Social media is replete with movies purportedly displaying kanwar yatris, sporting saffron garments, creating ruckus on roads, ransacking accommodations, damaging autos, and beating civilians. Adityanath claimed these are “miscreants” who infiltrate kanwar teams and produce them a nasty identify.
