UP Board examination Day 1: 4 woman college students of Class 10 skipped their Hindi paper on the primary day of the UP Board examinations in Jaunpur on Monday, refusing to take away their hijab after they have been requested to take action by feminine invigilators on the entry of the examination corridor at their centre. “The scholars have been stopped on the gate and requested to take away the hijab to go inside,” mentioned Ahmadullah (goes by first title), father of one of many 4 college students.

“Guidelines of Board exams are being adopted strictly. 4 college students refused to comply with them and went residence with their household with out taking the examination,” centre administrator and school principal Dinesh Chandra Gupta mentioned.

UP Board secretary in Prayagraj Bhagwati Singh mentioned: “Id of all examinees is verified earlier than being allowed to entry to examination halls.
