The BJP on Sunday introduced the names of three candidates, together with a detailed aide of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and a former MLA, for the March 27 by-elections to 5 seats within the state legislative council.

The final day for submitting nominations by candidates is March 17.
The byelections of the MLCs are from the MLA quota within the 288-member legislative meeting.
The BJP has 132 MLAs, Shiv Sena 57, and NCP 41, making them comfortably positioned to win all of the 5 seats, given their dominating presence within the decrease home.
