“In our tradition, a person marries just one lady. Nevertheless, in North India, a lady can have a number of husbands – generally 5 and even ten. Equally, 5 males can marry one lady. That is their custom. If one leaves, one other takes their place,” Murugan mentioned in an obvious reference to Draupadi from the Mahabharata.
