A.P. govt. plans to create ‘Quantum Valley’, says Naidu

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said that the State authorities will arrange a process drive and likewise plans to create a ‘Quantum Valley’, a world-class quantum computing hub, in Andhra Pradesh that’s in keeping with the Nationwide Quantum Mission. 

In a publish on ‘X’ on Monday (March 10, 2025), Mr. Naidu mentioned that quantum know-how was set to carry revolutionary developments in numerous fields. ‘‘Simply as we led the Data Know-how revolution within the Nineties, we would like Andhra Pradesh to guide developments in Quantum Know-how, securing a first-mover benefit on this transformative discipline.’‘

“Taking a step in that route, we’re organising a process drive and dealing on a plan to create a ‘Quantum Valley’, a world-class quantum computing hub in Andhra Pradesh that’s in keeping with the Nationwide Quantum Mission,” he mentioned. 

This initiative, in collaboration with IIT Madras, TCS, and IBM will assist A.P. grow to be a nationwide hub for quantum computing analysis, attracting top-tier expertise and world investments.

The A.P. Authorities took the lead in organising a key assembly to drive this effort. Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, together with S.N. Subrahmanyan, Chairman & MD, L&T, Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, Division of Science and Know-how, J.B.V. Reddy, head, Quantum Know-how Centre, DST, Prof. Satyanarayana Kalidindi, Director, IIT-Tirupati, Prof. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, Amith Singhee, Director, IBM Analysis India, and Venkat Subramaniam of IBM Quantum India had been current.
