Akhanda Godavari challenge bhumi puja scheduled for June 19 postponed, says Minister

The bhumi puja for the Akhanda Godavari challenge scheduled to be carried out on June 19 has been cancelled, Minister for Tradition, Tourism and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh mentioned on Saturday.
Deputy Chief Minister Ok. Pawan Kalyan would carry out the bhumi puja for the Akhanda Godavari challenge and everlasting buildings of the Andhra Pradesh State Forest Academy in Diwaancheruvu Reserve Forest, and inaugurate a Sub-Regional Science Centre in Rajamahendravaram by the June-end, mentioned Mr. Durgesh.
Reviewing the preparations being made for these programmes, Mr. Durgesh mentioned the Centre had sanctioned ₹97 crore for the Akhanda Godavari challenge underneath the Particular Help to States for Capital Funding (SASCI). As a part of the challenge, Havelock Bridge can be renovated with varied vacationer points of interest.
The A.P. State Forest Academy is now being run from the Regional Forest Analysis Centre in Rajamahendravaram. Lately, the Union Ministry of Surroundings, Forest and Local weather Change permitted the diversion of six acres of reserve forest land for the development of the Forest Academy buildings.
The development of the Sub-Regional Science Centre has been accomplished at Bommuru, on the outskirts of Rajamahendravaram, with ₹15.2 crore support supplied by the Ministry of Tradition.
East Godavari District Collector P. Prasanthi, MLAs B. Balarama Krishna, Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdari, SP D. Narasimha Kishore and different officers have been current within the assembly.
