Beneath is Al Jazeera Media Community’s assertion on the killing of Hossam Shabat.
Al Jazeera Media Community strongly condemns the Israeli Occupation Forces’ assassination of Hossam Shabat, Al Jazeera Mubasher correspondent, who was brutally killed at this time, in an air strike focusing on his automobile in Jabalia.
Hossam joined the Community’s journalists and correspondents killed in the course of the ongoing warfare on Gaza, together with Samer Abudaqa, Hamza Al-Dahdouh, Ismail Al-Ghoul, and Ahmed Al-Louh.
Al Jazeera affirms its dedication to pursue all authorized measures to prosecute the perpetrators of those crimes towards journalists. And stands in unwavering solidarity with all journalists in Gaza and reaffirms its dedication to reaching justice and prosecuting the killers of greater than 200 journalists in Gaza since October 2023.
The Community extends its condolences to Hossam’s household, and calls on all human rights and media organisations to sentence the Israeli occupation’s systematic killing of journalists, the evasion of obligations below worldwide humanitarian legislation, and to deliver the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice.
Al Jazeera renews its agency dedication to overlaying occasions within the Gaza Strip, regardless of the continuing focusing on and harassment confronted by its correspondents and journalists.
