All Class 11 state board exams in Assam cancelled amid paper leak

The Assam state board has cancelled the entire examinations of Class 11 that have been scheduled for March 24 to 29, 2025, as a number of papers have been leaked at totally different locations, Training Minister Ranoj Pegu stated, as reported by PTI.
Earlier, the Increased Secondary first 12 months Arithmetic paper, scheduled on March 21, of the Assam State College Training Board (ASSEB) was leaked, forcing the authorities to cancel the examinations and lodge a police criticism.
The Increased Secondary first 12 months or Class 11 examinations started on March 6 and have been scheduled to proceed until March 29.
“Attributable to studies of query paper leak and breach of protocol, the remaining topics of HS First 12 months Examination 2025 (scheduled from March 24-29) stand cancelled,” Pegu stated in a submit on X.

Sharing the official order issued by ASSEB, he acknowledged that additional selections concerning the revised examination schedule can be made throughout the board assembly on Monday.
In a separate submit, the minister revealed that the Arithmetic paper was leaked after 18 colleges, together with three authorities establishments, violated protocol by breaking the safety seal a day earlier than the examination.
“Assam State College Training Board (ASSEB) has suspended the affiliation of 15 non-public colleges throughout 10 districts for breaking the seal of Class 11 Arithmetic query papers earlier than the scheduled time, resulting in a leak.
“The state authorities will even take motion towards three different colleges for violating the foundations in the same method,” he added.

As per the ASSEB order issued by Controller of Examinations (in-charge) Ranjan Kumar Das, all faculty inspectors and principals of lead schools returned the sealed packets of the Arithmetic query paper after its cancellation.
In the meantime, final week, the Class 9 English annual examination in Assam’s Barpeta district was known as off following a query paper leak on social media.
