Chennai: A 57-year-old artwork trainer from a Coimbatore college was arrested on Wednesday on fees of sexually assaulting feminine college students, police stated.

Round 10 college students from the varsity additionally lodged formal complaints with the police on Wednesday.
Following the criticism from the varsity’s principal, the accused trainer, a resident of Vadavalli, was taken into custody, stated police commissioner A. Saravana Sundar.

Sundar stated the scholars alleged that the trainer had been misbehaving with them for over 4 months.
The trainer was arrested underneath Sections 9 (aggravated sexual assault) and 10 (punishment for aggravated sexual assault) of the Safety of Kids from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
“A radical investigation could be performed to find out whether or not the trainer misbehaved with different college students,” stated Sundar.
