Second seed Divyanshi Bhowmick defeated China’s Zhu Qihui, seeded three, 13-11, 11-8, 8-11, 12-10, September 11, 11-8 to clinch the under-15 ladies’ singles title on the twenty ninth Asian youth desk tennis championships in Tashkent.

With the gorgeous victory – her second in opposition to a Chinese language opponent within the knockout stage – Divyanshi secured a direct berth for the World youth championships in Romania in November.

Her gold medal capped India’s spectacular marketing campaign on the championships, which ended with one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.
