Bihar’s Chief Engineer Sacked After ED Finds Rs 11.64 Crore In Raid | India Information

The Bihar authorities on Friday sacked Tarini Das, the chief engineer of the Constructing Development Division, a day after Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers seized unaccounted money from his home. The ED raided Das’ residence as a part of a cash laundering probe in opposition to senior IAS officer Sanjeev Hans.

The ED introduced on Friday that it had seized Rs 11.64 crore in money throughout recent searches associated to the cash laundering case in opposition to Hans. The company performed raids on Thursday at seven places in Patna.

The cash laundering case in opposition to Hans, a 1997-batch IAS officer and former principal secretary of Bihar’s vitality division, originates from a Bihar Police vigilance unit case.
