Canada on Wednesday introduced extra tariffs on CAN$29.8 billion ($20.7 billion) of US items, retaliating in opposition to American levies on Canadian metal and aluminum.

Finance Minister Dominic Leblanc stated the Canadian tariffs that come into drive Thursday will hit merchandise that embody computer systems and sports activities tools, and have been in response to President Donald Trump’s 25 p.c levy on Canadian aluminum and metal, which he known as “unjustified and unreasonable.”
