Centre Approves Rs 81,735 Crore Further Tax Devolution For States

New Delhi: The Union Authorities has accepted a further instalment of Rs 81,735 crore as Tax Devolution to the State Governments, which shall be launched on June 2, 2025, the Ministry of Finance stated in a put up on X on Friday late night.

This launch is along with the common month-to-month instalment of tax devolution of Rs 81,735 crore, which shall be launched on June 10, 2025. The extra instalment of devolution to States is in keeping with the precept of co-operative federalism and the goal of turning into ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047, which might be realised by way of ‘Viksit States’ as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“The extra instalment of devolution will allow the States to hurry up their Capital spending, finance their improvement and welfare-related expenditure and likewise make accessible assets for precedence initiatives/schemes of the States,” the Ministry of Finance stated within the X put up.
