‘Certain to face crushing blow’: Shah after MHA ban on JKIM, Awami Motion committee

The Ministry of House Affairs (MHA) introduced on Tuesday that it has designated the Jammu and Kashmir Ittihadul Muslimeen (JKIM) and Jammu and Kashmir-based Awami Motion Committee (AAC) as an illegal group and imposed an instantaneous five-year ban on it accusing the group of participating in actions that threaten the nation’s sovereignty, integrity, and safety.
As per an official notification, the AAC, led by Umar Farooq, has been concerned in supporting terrorist actions and spreading anti-India propaganda to gas separatism in Jammu and Kashmir.
The ministry acknowledged that the group has been mobilizing funds to help secessionist, separatist, and terrorist operations within the area. Moreover, it accused the AAC of displaying blatant disregard for India’s constitutional authority by selling unrest, encouraging armed insurgency, and spreading hatred in opposition to the federal government.
In accordance with a notification, JKIM, below the management of Masroor Abbas Ansari, has been concerned in supporting terrorist actions and spreading anti-India propaganda to gas separatism in Jammu and Kashmir.
It additional acknowledged that the group and its members have been elevating funds to facilitate illegal actions, together with separatist and terrorist operations within the area.
