New Delhi: A police jawan was killed and three others had been injured on Monday morning after an improvised explosive system (IED), planted by Maoists, detonated in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district.
The explosion occurred within the Indravati Nationwide Park space whereas a staff of the District Reserve Guard (DRG), a specialised unit of the state police, was conducting an anti-Naxal operation.
Talking to ANI, Inspector Common of Police (Bastar Vary) P. Sundarraj stated, “The explosion passed off on Monday morning in Indravati Nationwide Park space when a staff of District Reserve Guard (DRG), a unit of the state police, was out on an anti-Naxal operation.”
DRG jawan Dinesh Nag was killed within the blast, whereas three different personnel sustained accidents. “The injured personnel had been administered preliminary remedy and had been being evacuated from the forest,” Sundarraj added.
