‘Chop Palms, Gouge Eyes’: Madhya Pradesh MLA Seeks Strict Punishment In opposition to ‘Love Jihad’

Bharatiya Janata Occasion MLA Usha Thakur on Thursday demanded for a Sharia-like punishment for these indulging in ‘love jihad’. The MLA in Indore additional said that criminals who violate the legislation must be punished by having their “eyes gouged out and arms chopped off”.
She additional said that Sharia, the normal Islamic legislation, has a provision for such harsh punishments for such criminals.
Notably, the time period ’love jihad’ is utilized by right-wing organisations to assert that Muslim males lure girls of different religions and marry them in an effort to convert them to Islam.
The ruling occasion MLA who represents Mhow in Indore district said that such criminals who act towards humanity and morality must be punished as per the Sharia legislation.
“If these persons are brazenly violating the anti-love jihad legislation, then based on Sharia, their eyes must be gouged out and their arms must be chopped off. I believe there’s a provision for such strict punishment in Sharia for thieves, characterless individuals and criminals who spoil the lives of different individuals,” Thakur was quoted as saying by information company PTI.
She additional warned that if such evil persons are caught (by the police), they won’t be spared.
“Their homes, property, all the pieces might be confiscated and they’ll roam on the street as beggars. Solely then will they cease doing such demonic acts,” she added.
