Chief Minister M.Ok. Stalin has convened an all-party assembly on March 5, 2025, to debate the affect of the proposed delimitation train on Tamil Nadu, which can result in a discount within the variety of Lok Sabha seats within the State.
Talking to mediapersons after chairing a Cupboard assembly on the Secretariat in Chennai, the Chief Minister mentioned: “Tamil Nadu has been pressured to wage a large wrestle for its rights. The delimitation train is a sword hanging over the top of South India. Tamil Nadu, which has been on the forefront in all improvement indicators, can be severely affected due to the proposed delimitation train. Through the years, the State had adopted inhabitants management measures and centered on enhancing the maternal well being of ladies.”

The Chief Minister additional mentioned: “As of now, Tamil Nadu has 39 Lok Sabha seats. The delimitation train is prone to scale back the variety of Lok Sabha seats to 31. It’s not only a discount in numbers. It’s about our rights. The voice of Tamil Nadu is being suppressed within the title of delimitation.
