Communal clashes have been reported from Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh after a spiritual procession was stone-pelted close to a mosque. Tensions flared in Barkatha on Sunday after a confrontation broke out between two communities throughout a ‘yagya’ ceremony and procession close to a mosque. The incident led to stone-pelting and the burning of straw stacks, inflicting the state of affairs to deteriorate quickly. In response, authorities heightened safety within the area. Police have since said that the state of affairs has been introduced below management.

SP Arvind Kumar Singh mentioned {that a} ‘yagya’ was occurring, and a procession was being taken out when the incident occurred. “Throughout that, a conflict erupted between two communities close to a Mosque, stones have been pelted, after which some individuals set straw piles on hearth.
