NEW DELHI: The Congress has sought front-row seats within the Lok Sabha for its 4 members — chief of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Alappuzha MP KC Venugopal, Jorhat lawmaker Gaurav Gogoi and Mavelikkara MP Kodikunnil Suresh, two senior Lok Sabha officers stated.

The celebration, which has 99 lawmakers within the Decrease Home, has submitted the request to the workplace of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, the ultimate authority to resolve on the allotment of seats within the Home.
Whereas Rae Bareli MP Gandhi, because the chief of the Opposition within the Lok Sabha, is entitled to a delegated front-row seat, set to be proper reverse defence minister Rajnath Singh’s seat, the improved efficiency of the Congress within the 18th Lok Sabha with 99 MPs will help the celebration get three extra front-row seats.
The Samajwadi Social gathering, the third largest celebration within the Lok Sabha after the BJP and the Congress, may get two front-row seats that the celebration has requested for its president and ground chief Akhilesh Yadav and Faizabad lawmaker Awadhesh Prasad. DMK’s senior-most lawmaker TR Baalu will even get a front-row seat.
“A lot of the events have despatched their record of most popular seats. Lok Sabha Speaker will allot seat of division numbers to all MPs,” an official informed HT, requesting anonymity.
Thought of coveted, front-row seats are often earmarked for senior members and ground leaders.
