Former minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief T. Harish Rao has alleged that the Congress authorities within the State is deceiving paddy farmers by delaying cost of ₹432 crore bonus for 8.64 lakh tonnes of superb varieties procured about 50 days in the past.

In a letter addressed to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, he mentioned the Minister for Civil Provides had been making tall claims of creating cost to paddy farmers inside 48 hours of procuring the produce. Nevertheless, the federal government was but to make ₹432 crore bonus cost to farmers who had bought their 8.64 lakh tonnes of superb varieties’ paddy on the procurement centres opened by the federal government.

He said that farmers from Muchhintala in Mahabubnagar district had approached the District Collector, searching for motion on the delayed cost of their bonus, even two months after promoting their produce. Some farmers had opted to promote at authorities procurement facilities, regardless of receiving equal or higher affords from non-public merchants for superb varieties, hoping to earn further by way of the promised bonus.
