A neighborhood courtroom right here on Saturday sentenced 9 individuals, together with a DSP stage officer, to life imprisonment in a custodial demise relationship again to 1999.
The matter pertains to the demise of Vincent who died on the Thalamuthu Nagar police station. The deputy superintendent of police was then inspector.
The Tuticorin district extra session courtroom pronounced the judgement. Two of the 11 accused have been acquitted by the courtroom.
Whereas one other individual convicted in an inspector, the others have retired from service.
The courtroom additionally imposed a nice of Rs 10,000 every on these convicted.
