Delhi Flight Disruptions: 13 Flights Diverted As Thunderstorms Hit IGI Airport | India Information

Flight operations at Indira Gandhi Worldwide Airport have been considerably disrupted on Wednesday night as heavy rain and thunderstorms swept throughout the nationwide capital, forcing the diversion of at the very least 13 flights.

In response to airport sources, 12 of the affected flights have been rerouted to Jaipur, whereas one worldwide flight was diverted to Mumbai on account of hostile climate circumstances in Delhi.

Airways and the airport operator issued alerts on social media, warning passengers of potential delays and disruptions. IndiGo, one of many main carriers working from Delhi, posted on X (previously Twitter), saying, “Our flight schedules are at the moment impacted as a result of heavy rains and thunderstorm sweeping throughout Delhi, Chandigarh and Kolkata.”
