On Monday, Brihanmumbai Municipal Company (BMC) workers arrived on the studio in Khar with giant hammers and started demolishing it.

Earlier, Mumbai’s standard stand-up comedy venue, The Habitat, introduced its closure after Shiv Sena staff vandalised the premises. The assault is available in response to comic Kunal Kamra’s comment towards Shiv Sena chief.

Following the assault on the studio, The venue expressed shock and concern,  stating that whereas artists are chargeable for their very own views, the studio is unfairly focused as a “proxy for the performer.” 

The Mumbai police arrested 11 members of the Yuva Sena, the youth faction of Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena in reference to the vandatisation of the Habitat comedy venue.
