I Know You Liked Me

Past a shadow
Past the phrases
Past the image of what a loving nurturing mom
Is meant to appear to be
Act like
Discuss like
Contact like
There’s you
I could not discover anybody such as you in my image books
No moms appeared such as you
Wearing pants such as you
Had hair such as you
Performed soccer such as you
Smoked cigars such as you
But I knew you really liked me
I knew you wished extra for me than you had been given
I knew you wished for me all the pieces you had been denied
Past a shadow I do know you really liked me
The best way you smiled at me and cheered for me
The best way you pushed me
I do know you really liked me
Are you aware how a lot I beloved you
Past a shadow you have been my all the pieces
I perceive a lot extra about you right this moment
You too have been scared
You too longed to be seen
You too longed to be held
My coronary heart breaks for you
As I’ve come to study we can not give what wasn’t given to us
As you grew older you softened
You allowed me in
My coronary heart breaks for my mom
However nobody let her in
However nobody held her
Nobody comforted her
Nobody advised her she was sufficient
Her journey was relentless
Her power unbridled
I perceive now and I am so sorry
Past a shadow I do know you really liked me
Past a shadow I beloved you

Pricey Life

I have been wanting to speak to you latterly to let you know
You aren’t what I deliberate
You might not give a rattling however I assumed you need to know
You aren’t what I anticipated
I assumed so long as I had my compass pointing north
All could be good
However I discovered that my coronary heart does not know north
My life has led me on a path written in invisible ink
Eager for extra from a soul I did not know but
So right here we’re Life
With no compass and not using a map
Solely my coronary heart guiding me ahead
It wonders
Am I able to be recognized in a brand new and deep method?
Am I sturdy sufficient to open my coronary heart and reveal what lies
inside?
Life you say that is what you’re all about
Let’s examine how the universe responds
After I pull again the curtain on my soul

Fragments of Me

They’re all over the place
The fragments of me
Within the closet within the drawer within the ceiling wanting down
The fragments of me are everywhere in the land
They’re in Chicago
In Maryland
Within the corridor at my faculty
In my bed room
The place I broke into two
What about you
Are you shattered
Are you fragmented
In items as properly
Is your life right here on earth
A heaven or hell
Do you vacillate
Between energy and impotence
Wanting nothing or wanting all of it
Do you stare down on your self dissociated from life
Whenever you shut your eyes do you pray for the reduction of a knife
Inform me inform me
Are you the coward the hero a participant of hearts
Are you aware who you’re or have you ever vanished out of your life
Get up present your self cease hiding right here and there
Go decide up the items
They’re all over the place
It is a mess it is a shambles
You might be right here and you’re there
Do not you see
Do not you care that you just’re all over the place
It is as much as you
As much as you to piece collectively your life
As much as you to make sense
As much as you to return
Again to the place it started
Return to your delivery
Return in case you can
Return to Hyannis
Return to your room
Return
Inform him you understand and not really feel disgrace
Inform her you’re keen on her and pray for her ache
Return decide up the items
Make your self entire
Return to the fragments
They’re the important thing to your soul
