Two males accused of murdering a former ruling Bharatiya Janata Celebration (BJP) youth wing functionary in Dehradun have been injured in a shoot-out alongside the Uttar Pradesh-Uttarakhand border, a police officer stated on Friday.
Senior police superintendent Ajai Singh stated one accused was shot in each legs and one hand, and one other in each legs and hospitalised in Rishikesh. He added that the shoot-out was triggered as police chased the accused, Mohammad Azhar Tyagi, and Ayush Kumar, who’re from Uttar Pradesh’s Muzzafarnagar and Shamli, round 11 pm on Thursday.
Tyagi and Kumar allegedly killed Rohit Negi after firing at 4 individuals in a Sports activities Utility Automobile on Tuesday.
