Michelle Bachelet, the previous President of Chile and a worldwide advocate for human rights, has been awarded the 2024 Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament, and Growth.

The announcement was made by a world jury chaired by Shivshankar Menon, former Nationwide Safety Advisor and International Secretary of India.
