Oblique negotiations between Israel and Hamas for a ceasefire in Gaza are set to renew Friday (January 3) in Doha, the Palestinian group has introduced.
The talks, mediated by Qatar, Egypt, and the USA, search to realize a whole cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
Hamas introduced the resumption of talks, stating that the discussions would “deal with making certain the settlement leads to a whole cessation of hostilities (and) the withdrawal of occupation forces.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s workplace has mentioned that he had authorised a delegation from the Mossad intelligence company, the Shin Guess inner safety company and the navy to proceed negotiations in Qatar.
Tough street in the direction of Gaza ceasefire
Earlier makes an attempt at brokering a ceasefire have confronted important challenges.
In November 2024, Qatar suspended its mediation efforts, citing an absence of real dedication from each Israel and Hamas. Doha indicated it might reassess its position until each events demonstrated a willingness to barter in good religion.
