Girl, 3 children injured in automobile blast

A lady and her three youngsters have been injured when their automobile burst into flames quickly after beginning it at Polpully, Chittur, close to right here on Friday night. Elsy Martin, 40, widow of the late Martin Poolakkad, and their youngsters Aleena, 10, Alfin, 6, and Emy, 4, have been injured within the explosion. Elsy is a nurse at Palana Hospital, Palakkad.

The accident occurred round 5 p.m. when Elsy began the automobile after coming back from work. It was suspected {that a} gasoline cylinder within the car ignited and brought on the explosion. Native residents rushed to the scene after listening to the explosion and rescued the lady and youngsters, and took them to hospital. Two of the youngsters sustained extreme burn accidents and have been rushed to Jubilee Mission Medical Faculty Hospital at Thrissur for intensive therapy together with the others.
