NEW DELHI: The government on Wednesday authorized second section of Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP) for subsequent 5 years with an outlay of round Rs 7,000 crore. The second section will cowl villages, together with those near the borders of Bangladesh and Myanmar.
Sources mentioned the second section of the scheme will cowl border villages throughout 15 states and two UTs of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. It covers 663 villages and focuses on 100% saturation of central and state govt schemes.
