Newly launched police video reveals a bestselling writer and spouse of Weezer’s bassist armed with a handgun as she was confronted by Los Angeles Police Division officers looking out her Eagle Rock neighborhood for a trio of hit-and-run suspects earlier this month.

“Put the gun down! Hey, put the gun down,” officers are heard saying within the bodycam video as they seemed over a yard fence and noticed Jillian Lauren Shriner.

“Lay the gun down,” officers yelled repeatedly.

“Ma’am, put the gun down,” one other officer shouted. “Ma’am, we’re attempting that will help you!”
