Rescuers on Wednesday resumed the search operation in Himachal Pradesh on the second day to hint 34 folks, who went lacking after cloudbursts and heavy rain triggered large landslides and flash floods. 

Sixteen cloudbursts and three flash floods on Tuesday in Mandi district washed away one bridge, 24 homes and one hydropower challenge, leading to 10 deaths to this point.

It has issued an orange warning of heavy rain for July 2 to 7.

A morning bulletin by the State Emergency Operation Centre stated that as a result of launch of roughly 200,000 cusecs of water from the Pandoh Dam, there was a severe risk of inundation within the Pandoh Bazar space, with potential submergence of close by residential homes.
