A 16-year-old scholar died by suicide after allegedly being scolded by his mom for failing in his Tenth-class examination, police stated on Tuesday.
The scholar, recognized as Rusi, was reportedly discovered hanging on the highest ground of his residence on Monday afternoon, officers stated.
In accordance with a police official, the incident came about round 2.30 pm.
“The boy had failed in an examination and was enjoying video games on his cell phone. His mom scolded him, following which he went upstairs and took the intense step,” the official stated.
Police have registered a case and despatched the physique for autopsy examination. It was later handed over to the household.
