IGNOU Grants Over 3 Lakh Levels, Diplomas, and Certificates at thirty eighth Convocation

The Indira Gandhi Nationwide Open College (IGNOU) marked a historic second on March 5, 2025, because it hosted its thirty eighth Convocation on the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Conference Centre, IGNOU Maidan Garhi Campus. The occasion witnessed the conferment of over 3 lakh levels, diplomas, and certificates to college students throughout varied programmes, reinforcing the establishment’s dedication to creating increased schooling accessible to all.

Leaders Emphasise the Way forward for Schooling

The convocation was graced by Union Schooling Minister Dharmendra Pradhan because the Chief Visitor, who nearly addressed the gathering. In his speech, he urged college students to look past levels and deal with skilling, innovation, employment, and entrepreneurship. Pradhan stated within the digital convention as reported by TNN, “I urge everybody at Ignou to prioritise digital studying and make schooling much more accessible to the remotest corners of our nation. Schooling should transcend levels and deal with the abilities that drive innovation, employment, and entrepreneurship. With the rise of synthetic intelligence, automation, and trade 4.0, steady gentle skilling and lifelong studying would be the key in future.”

Recognising Excellence and Achievements

Among the many distinguished friends was Prof. Pawan Kumar Singh, Director of IIM Tiruchirappalli, who lauded IGNOU’s efforts in breaking boundaries and making schooling accessible to all. In the meantime, on the IGNOU regional centre in Pune, the convocation was held on the Balewadi premises, the place Vice-Chancellor Dr. P. A. Inamdar College, M. D. Lawrence, served because the Visitor of Honour.
