India amongst prime six patent-filing nations in 6G know-how: MoS Pemmasani

India is among the many prime six nations when it comes to submitting patents for 6G applied sciences, Minister of State for Communications Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani stated on the Bharat 6G Worldwide Convention on Thursday (Could 15, 2025). 

Dr. Pemmasani’s remarks come because the Indian authorities seeks to drag forward in creating requirements for the subsequent technology of telecom know-how, after a speedy deployment of 5G base stations by telecom operators in India over the past couple years.

“6G will allow speeds in terabits per second,” Dr. Pemmasani stated, including that the know-how permits “sub-millisecond latency, clever self-healing networks, and volumetric connectivity — from underwater to aerospace.” 

“Bharat’s 6G Imaginative and prescient goals to place India as a world 6G chief by 2030 by means of the Bharat 6G Alliance, 111+ funded analysis initiatives value over ₹300 crore, international partnerships with Japan, Singapore, and Finland, and breakthroughs in terahertz communication and AI-native networks,” Dr. Pemmasani stated.
