Is UK’s ‘desi’ Islamophobia amping up, whereas white offenders run amok beneath the radar?

Sikh peer provokes Muslim ire
A Sikh group, led by distinguished Sikh peer Lord Indarjit Singh, has provoked a row by suggesting that Pakistani Muslim gangs concerned in grooming and raping white ladies had been impressed by their religion, which regards non-Muslims as ‘kafir’.
It has known as on the house secretary to increase an ongoing inquiry into the scandal to look at whether or not the perpetrators’ ethnicity and faith had been “contributing elements in these horrible crimes”.
The Community of Sikh Organisations (NSO) UK has claimed that the “Sikh and Hindu group too” had been victims of such components, citing a 2013 case during which a Sikh teenage lady was sexually abused in automobiles, parks and visitor rooms throughout Leicester after assembly a gaggle of Muslim males.
Lord Singh stated the intention was to not tarnish the broader Muslim group and that he recurrently raises points concerning the (mis)therapy of Muslims.
However in accordance with Muslim teams, the problem is being weaponised towards their group. The Muslim Council of Britain has stated that “regardless of persistent racist narratives, current knowledge… [shows] that perpetrators come from all backgrounds and that the majority group-based offenders are white”.
