‘Kannappa’ trailer: Vishnu Manchu groups up with Prabhas, Akshay Kumar and Mohanlal for an epic devotional saga

The makers of Kannappalaunched the trailer for the highly-anticipated film. Starring Vishnu Manchu within the lead and superstars Akshay Kumar, Prabhas and Mohanlal in cameo roles, the pan-Indian film will hit the screens worldwide on June 27, 2025.

Vishnu Manchu performs Thinnadu higher referred to as Bhaktha Kannappa, a fearless warrior who transforms into Lord Shiva’s final devotee. Akshay Kumar performs Lord Shiva whereas Prabhas essays the position of Rudra. Mohanlal shall be seen within the movie as Kirata.

The makers described their movie as, “A robust retelling of the historic and devotional saga of a easy hunter whose final sacrifice turned legend. Kannappa takes you into the world of religion, timeless braveness, and divine connection.”

The 2 minutes and 54 seconds trailer hints at a visible extravaganza. The film makes an attempt to spotlight the religious heritage of India.

Controversy

Lately, an govt producer of Kannappa filed a grievance on the Movie Nagar police station in Hyderabad, alleging the theft of a tough disk containing the film’s VFX visuals. “Credible intelligence has lately emerged that people who stole the onerous disk are planning to leak over 90 minutes of unreleased footage on-line in a determined try and derail the discharge of Kannappa,” stated the makers in an announcement.

Vishnu’s father, Mohan Babu, is the producer of the magnum opus. Kajal Aggarwal, Preity Mukundhan, Brahmanandham and Sarath Kumar are the opposite actors within the film. Kannappa, produced by the banners Twenty 4 Frames Manufacturing facility and AVA Leisure, is directed by Mahesh Kumar Singh. Vishnu has written the story and screenplay of the film.
