Kannur varsity Senate rejects decision by UDF members demanding withdrawal of self-finance invoice

The Kannur College Senate has rejected resolutions proposed by Senate members of the United Democratic Entrance (UDF) demanding the withdrawal of the Self Finance College Invoice and the supply of journey allowance and day by day allowance for academics in evaluation camps.

The resolutions have been voted down as Left-aligned members collectively opposed them. In response, Kerala Non-public School Academics Affiliation, Authorities School Academics Organisation, and Confederation of Kerala School Academics organisations collectively condemned the choice, calling it an anti-teacher stance.

The senate additionally mentioned alleged monetary irregularities amounting to ₹22 crore, spanning the audit report from 2022 to 2023.
