Karnataka CM writes to Rahul Gandhi on making ready draft of Rohith Vemula Act

Assuring that he and his authorities are dedicated to making sure an egalitarian and equal society, the Karnataka chief minister stated, “We should be part of arms to deliver the Dalits, Adivasis and Backward lessons into the mainstream. That the oppressed lessons should no extra face any discrimination in our academic system.”
“I’ve instructed my authorized advisor and staff to organize a draft of the Rohith Vemula Act, a laws that can act as a deterrent towards discrimination in instructional establishments,” he added.
In his letter to the Karnataka CM, Rahul Gandhi had highlighted the discrimination B.R. Ambedkar confronted in his lifetime and stated Siddaramaiah would agree that what Ambedkar confronted was shameful and shouldn’t be endured by any youngster in India.
“It’s a disgrace that even right now hundreds of thousands of scholars from Dalit, Adivasi and OBC communities should face such brutal discrimination in our academic system,” he stated.
“The homicide of vivid younger individuals like Rohith Vemula, Payal Tadvi and Darshan Solanki is just not acceptable. It’s time to put a agency finish to this. I urge the Karnataka authorities to enact the Rohith Vemula Act in order that no youngster of India has to face what Dr B.R. Rohith Vemula, a Dalit scholar, died by suicide resulting from caste-based discrimination in 2016.
