Larger Noida College Pupil Dies By Suicide; 2 Arrested

A scholar from a college in Larger Noida, Uttar Pradesh, died by suicide on Friday, police stated. 

“On 18th July 2025, Thana Data Park Police obtained info {that a} woman scholar died by suicide by hanging herself to dying at a hostel of Sharda College,” ANI reported, quoting Larger Noida ADCP Sudhir Kumar.

Following the incident, police registered a case beneath related sections primarily based on a grievance filed by the deceased scholar’s kin. 

“Police reached the spot and did the ‘panchayatnama’. Family have reached the spot. As per their grievance, an FIR has been registered beneath related sections,” ADCP Kumar stated. 

Police have since taken two people into custody for questioning in reference to the case.

“Two accused have been taken into custody for questioning. College students had been agitated over Sharda College’s administration. They had been pacified. The state of affairs is beneath management. Additional motion is being undertaken,” ADCP Kumar added. 

The college is but to challenge any official assertion relating to the incident.
