Lok Sabha adjourned until 2 pm as a result of Opposition protests
Amidst the protests, the speaker tried to run the Home and allowed two questions associated to Direct Profit Schemes and infrastructure tasks in Ladakh to be requested by members throughout Query Hour.
Because the protests intensified, the speaker stated the opposition was not listening to him and persevering with their protests regardless of his repeated appeals.
“You aren’t keen on permitting the Home to operate easily. Your behaviour and actions have lowered the dignity and honour of the Home. You’ve been by systematically obstructing the proceedings. This isn’t good,” he stated.
Nonetheless, the Opposition ignored the speaker’s pleas forcing him to adjourn the Home until 2 pm after about 25 minutes of enterprise.
Barring discussions on Operation Sindoor in each Homes, Parliament has seen little enterprise for the reason that Monsoon session started on 21 July. There have been repeated adjournments initially as a result of opposition demand for a dialogue on Operation Sindoor after which on the SIR in Bihar.
