L&T arm launches AI-powered railway monitor inspection resolution

L&T Expertise Providers Restricted (LTTS), an engineering and know-how providers agency, has launched TrackEi, an AI-powered railway monitor inspection resolution.

TrackEi leverages the NVIDIA Jetson platform for edge AI and robotics, to ship real-time defect detection and assist predictive upkeep, enhancing security for rail networks worldwide.

Based on an organization communique, historically, rail inspection concerned guide processes or slow-moving trolleys, that are time consuming and typically fail to detect crucial flaws in time to stop derailments. TrackEi addresses this problem by automating high-speed inspections at over 60 miles per hour, utilising high-resolution cameras and laser profiling to establish points corresponding to damaged rails, cracks, monitor misalignments, and different structural defects.
