Man Opens Emergency Exit On IndiGo Flight Minutes Earlier than Takeoff, Arrested

New Delhi:

An IndiGo flight from Rajasthan’s Jodhpur was prepared to go away for Bengaluru this morning. All passengers boarded the plane and the cabin crew started the flight security demonstration, and the take-off was scheduled at 10:10 am. However, immediately, a passenger pulled the flag and opened the emergency exit door.

The incident led to a stir onboard the flight and the pilots, and cabin crew initiated the usual working protocols. The passenger has been arrested and handed over to the Central Industrial Safety Drive (CISF).

Siraj Kidwai, who works for Axis Financial institution, claims he unintentionally opened the flap. After the emergency exit was opened, a direct message was despatched to the pilot, and safety officers later eliminated the passenger from the airplane.

IndiGo stated, “At the moment, in the course of the security briefing earlier than the departure of flight 6E 6033 from Jodhpur to Bengaluru, a passenger opened the emergency exit flap. The crew instantly adopted normal working procedures. The passenger was later disembarked and handed over to regulation enforcement officers for investigation.”

“We remorse the inconvenience brought on to different passengers on the flight and reaffirm our dedication to sustaining the very best requirements of security and safety in all our operations,” they added.

The passenger is being questioned by CISF personnel on the airport police station in Jodhpur. The incident brought on a 20-minute delay in take-off, reportedly resulting in a stir onboard the plane.
