The lady testified to a number of cases of rape over two years. She delivered a toddler at a Junagadh govt hospital.
Extra public prosecutor Kartikey Parekh argued, “…Even after receiving the DNA report, the IO didn’t file the statements of the lady or her kinfolk concerning the involvement of different suspects, and the testimony of the survivor cannot be rejected solely as a result of the DNA report would not match.”
After listening to either side, the courtroom said: “The prosecution succeeded in proving that the accused dedicated the crime beneath BNS Sections 376 (3), 376 (2) (n) and beneath Pocso.”
