Mumbai: Man booked for sexually exploiting physician he met on relationship app, forcing her to bear abortion

The 28-year-old physician from an Andheri hospital had consensual intercourse with a 27-year-old Dongri man, who secretly took her intimate images throughout the act.
A person was booked for allegedly sexually exploiting a health care provider he met on a relationship app, forcing her to bear an abortion and in addition threatening to flow into her personal pictures on social media, a Mumbai police official stated on Friday.
The 28-year-old complainant works in an Andheri-based hospital whereas the accused is a 27-year-old resident of Dongri in south Mumbai, the MIDC police station official added. “As per the complainant, she joined a relationship app in 2023, the place she got here in touch with the accused. They engaged in consensual intercourse, throughout which the accused took her intimate pictures. In February this 12 months, he pressured her to bear an abortion,” the official stated.
“The accused later began avoiding the girl physician, who discovered he had received engaged to another person. After realising that she had been cheated on the pretext of marriage, the girl received an FIR registered on Thursday.
No arrests have been made. Additional probe is underway,” the official knowledgeable. The person has been charged beneath Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for forcing abortion with out consent, legal intimidation and different offences, he added.
