NEP won’t impose Hindi in T.N., says Pradhan

Union Schooling Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday (March 2, 2025) asserted that the New Schooling Coverage wouldn’t impose Hindi on States and Tamil Nadu’s opposition had “political causes” behind it.

The feedback by the Schooling Minister come amid a tiff between the Tamil Nadu authorities and the Centre over the implementation of NEP and the three-language coverage.
“I don’t need to reply to the political ambitions of few folks. NEP 2020 is targeted on completely different languages of India, be it Hindi, Tamil, Odia, or Punjabi. All of the languages have equal significance. In Tamil Nadu, few are opposing due to politics,” Mr. Pradhan stated.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.Ok. Stalin had on Friday (February 28, 2025) stated it was pointless to power any language as a 3rd language in faculties within the age of Synthetic Intelligence.
“Superior translation expertise already removes language limitations immediately. College students shouldn’t be burdened with further languages,” he wrote on X.
